Molly & Ryan | Portland Engagement & Wedding Photography

I’m about to head off to a wedding in downtown Portland, but before I do I wanted to share some recent engagement photos with these two cuties, Molly & Ryan. We did a combination of studio and outdoor photos because the weather was being unpredictable (that’s Portland for you). I love how it all turned out. They brought their favorite donuts, Blue Star (my favorite in Portland too, SO GOOD), maps from their travels together and a few different outfit changes. I took way too many cameras with me, as usual, but Molly & Ryan were so sweet and let me experiment with the images. Marc & Brianne's Wedding at the UVA Chapel & Omni Hotel in Charlottesville, Va

When Marc & Brianne asked me to photograph their Wedding at the UVA Chapel & Omni Hotel in Charlottesville, Va, I was so excited. My sister graduated from UVA last year and we both love Charlottesville. It’s always fun to have an excuse to visit. I met up with Brianne and Marc at the OMNI hotel in downtown Charlottesville while they were getting ready before the ceremony. Their “first look” took place right outside the Omni hotel, and from there we headed to the UVA Chapel. After a brief, but adorable ceremony, we snapped some family photos in and around the chapel. Then we explored the campus and took tons of photos in the gardens and on the lawn. The reception was held in a conference room at the Omni hotel and was followed by a farewell with bubbles (loved it)!  I’m obsessed with the polaroids from their wedding. The round frames by the Impossible Project are so fun to shoot with. There are some Holga & 35mm images at the bottom of the post too. Hope you enjoy! Vincent Noir | Vava Lingerie | The Bird Bones

It’s difficult to stay on top of blogging these days. I have so many shoots that I have yet to share with all of you! It’s so crazy that I go into a shoot and take hundreds of photos and then only share one on instagram. I guess I can blame it on social media. But I’ve turned over a new leaf and dedicated one day a week to blogging. It’s time to get these photo shoots online for people to see. Otherwise, they will just sit on my hard drive rotting away. In February, I did a shoot with a Portland based model named Vincent Noir. Alyssa, designer of Vava Lingerie, gave us one of her lingerie sets to use (the amazing black velvet 2 piece set). My good friend Gina Campbell, also known as The Bird Bones, did hair and makeup. Two of my all time favorite local jewelry designers, Theeth Jewelry & Morgaine Faye, let us borrow their incredible creations for the shoot. It is a tad NSFW, but I’ll let you decide for yourself. ;)
