PDX & RVA Wedding Photography | Molly & Paul's Wedding at House on Metolius

Oregon has so many incredible wedding locations, but House on Metolius is SERIOUSLY beautiful. This was the second wedding I’ve photographed there (check out Katie & Mark’s wedding there too!) and it was even better than I remembered. It’s quite a trek to get there from Portland and includes almost 100 miles of twists and turns through Santiam Pass. We even had to help someone get their car out of a ditch on the way home! But there’s definitely something special about getting married in the middle of nowhere, especially when your family and friends make the journey with you. It forces everyone to relax, take a vacation, enjoy the scenery and experience everything that Oregon has to offer. Now that I live in Virginia, I miss Oregon and it’s beauty but I’m lucky enough that my job allows me to travel back and forth between the two states. I’ll gladly fly back to Oregon to photograph at House on Metolius any day.

Congrats Molly & Paul! You two are the cutest! <3

RVA Headshots & Creative Portraits | Richmond, Va Portrait & Wedding Photography

These days, it’s so important to have unique and eye-catching photos to post on instagram or facebook, especially if you are a small business owner, an artist, musician, actor, etc. I get so many emails and messages asking if I do headshots that are a little more approachable than a traditional headshot. I like to describe this kind of shoot as a “creative portrait” session. It’s a blend of traditional headshots and stylized portraiture that truly captures your personality. I use a blend of film and digital photography to give my clients a variety of options to choose from. Not too long ago, I did a senior portrait session for Cole. He was interested in portraits that showcased his own personal style and reflected his aesthetic as a musician. He’s in a band called Flow Resale with his sister, Marigold. I did the most amazing fashion shoot with her in 2017 (which I still need to blog… putting that on my to-do list now)! If you’re interested in a creative portrait session, you can contact me here!
